I had one of those really clear moments today.

I was walking from class over to work. The sun was shining and there wasn't a single cloud in the sky. My steps seemed so much slower today. I took time to smell the clean air and appreciate the way the sun sparkled through the magnolia leaves. I appreciated the sweetness of the day.

And I had to stand there for a second and say a small prayer for all the people who can't see the bright sun right now because their sky is clouded by smoke from explosions. Whether you agree with the war or not, I think everyone can send some positive energy toward bother the civilians and the fighters who can't see the clear sky right now.

Where do I start / Lying on a blanket underneath the stars / With your head on my chest / I always liked that best

I hate how times flies / I still think back sometimes / 'Bout your lips on my neck / I always liked that best

That time we took a ride / Ended up down by the river side / Soft touch wet kiss / I always liked that best

I like the way you used to hold me / I like the way you came to know me / You came to know me well well well

Falling to sleep / Wearing your shirt 'cause it smelled so sweet / Who could forget / I always liked that best / Or losing my heart every time you sang to me on your guitar / "Lady in Red" / I always liked that best

I like the way you used to hold me / I like the way you came to know me / You came to know me well well well

I could go on / So many things I miss now that you're gone / Your love oh yes / I always liked that best

Cyndi Thomson, 'Always Liked That Best'

I miss my boy. On the positive side, this is the last time we'll be so far apart, God willing. He's been gone for a day, I miss him terribly. It's so difficult to get used to being apart again.

Oh, in other news, stay tuned for information about the Second Annual Labia Blog-A-Thon. :)

Ack! I've been gone for almost a month again...how in the world did that happen?

Oh...wait...I know how it happened. I had midterms, spring break, and then my boy had spring break. That's pretty much a month right there. It's amazing how fast time gets away from you sometimes.
